Hand built and kits

In our quest to make more down-under models we are pleased to announce that we will be adding SMTS
to our partner list. After our successful collaborations with Marsh Models, K&R Replicas, Yank/Formula
Models, Jemmpy and Axle’r we will been teaming up with SMTS in the not to distant future to make even
more Australian models.

Watch this space as they say SMTS have many current subjects that with little modification can be used
to create many down-under historic race cars. Just some to wet the appetite, Bob Jane E type and 289
Mustang, Peter Geoghegan 289 Mustang, Neptune Racing Mini Cooper, Lotus Cortina, 289 Mustang, Alan
Moffat Boss Mustang. The list could go on but let’s be content with these for the time being there will be
all new models in the future.

We have not worked out the logistics of this doing these models as yet, whether we use SMTS castings
and make the necessary modification and decals to suite or whether SMTS make the whole model with
our input.

Of course we will still be making the occasional model of our own but in my opinion the future of this
business is sharing costs. Some of these models will only sell in very small numbers and that would
prohibit us making them without the assistance of our partners.

New this month is the Mobil BMW M3 from Bathurst 1988 and Rover SD1 from Bathurst 1984 AMS009
will build either M3 #56 P Brock – J Richards or #57 N Crompton – Dave Parsons and AMS008 will build
either Rover #60 S Soper – R Dickson or #61(class winner) J Allam – A Hahne.

Kit prices $85 or built $275

One that has been in the making for sometime is the Ken Done BMW M3 ‘Art Car’ 1989 which is now
exhibited at the Powerhouse museum Sydney. Kit price $90 or built $295

Drafting for the Brock/Perkins Porsche 956 from Silverstone and Le Mans cars has gone to the printers.
We are now working on the 1962 Armstrong 500 winning Mercedes 220SE.
This model will have laser printed decals. Due to lack of interest we can’t justify the cost of screen-printing them.

We have some race numbers printed. These are six different styles and sizes black/white or white/black
will suit many applications. Price $10 the pair.

Everything come to an end and so it is with some of our early kits AMS-ME50 Holden Monaro, 350GTS
is sold out, AMS001 Ford Escort RS1800 Southern Cross Rally is now sold out, AMS CJM Jaguar Mk2 Bob
Jane, Katoomba 1964 is unavailable from the manufacturer, AMS01MR Commodore VL is now sold out
too and there is only one kit and one built model left of the Possum Bourne Subaru.

In with this month new release from SMTS is this Cooper T40 “Redex Special” that Jack Brabham should
have raced in the 1956 NZ GP but for a split gearbox as he warmed the car up in the paddock.

For all you who like to add fine detail to their models there is new accessories from T2M these consist of
rivets, screws, bolts, wiring, tubing, ducting etc. etc. if your eyesight is good enough.

DVA release built version of just about every Porsche 917K ever raced. A couple of interest are Brands
Hatch 1000kls and Watkins Glen 1970 as there were driven by Denny Hulme.

Now in stock from Tron the Pebble Beach version of the Alfa Romeo T33/4 Tasman coupe in both built
and kit form. We will be working on the decals for the Phillip Island car soon.
