Latest News from automodelli studio

May 2009

It's time we had a holiday so Automodelli Studio will be closed from 16th to 25th May

From this month we have a new section for the newsletter. This will be for newsletter subscribers and regular customers only. It will appear as a link at the bottom of each month's newsletter and will not be available on the website. The Specials Page will carry Out of Production kits, built models and accessories, also rare and hard to find items, and kits and built models which are below retail price.

Altthough you may see Selford Models advertised by other retailers in set colours, Simon Elford tells us he will paint his models any colour to suit any customer. So if we can give him the RAL number, his Maserati Mistrals are available to order in any colour, as will be his next release, a De Tomaso Mangusta.

Red Line have just released this 1968 Ferrari 612 Can-Am of Chris Amon.

Molds have been made and test casting for our Mk1 Mini and the Cooper Bristol, Redex Special. We have purchased a new computer and drafting package, so this winter we will re-acquaint ourselves with drafting (it's been a long time since I did any) and hopefully it will not take so long to get decals made in the future.

This Way Up are working on several versions of the Shadow DNS from 1977, a couple will be the Alan Jones cars.

Superior Models have re-released their Ferrari 250 GTO, one of the most amazing kits ever produced.

Also, along with the Lola T332 F5000 cars, Colin Frazer is working on the 1978 Lola T333 Can-Am car and this will include the Alan Jones and Warwick Brown cars that came 1-2 in that year's championship. These will be released under the Yank Models label and will be available from us, as are all Formula and Yank Models.

Last year we acquired decals to make #27 VIP Pet Foods Porsche GT3 from the Nurburgring 24hr, we can now offer decals for the #26 car.

Modellismo 90 are about to release another version of their Ensign MN176 Chris Amon #22 Swedish GP 1976.

Spark are now releasing one new model every day and that has never been achieved by any other manufacturer..... recession, what recession.

Minichamps are to release the Alex Davison 997 GT3 from LM 2008 so, if you missed the Spark version, look out for this one.
