Latest News from automodelli studio

December 2009

From Jan 2010 Automodelli Studio will have a sister site www.strictly143.com this site is for built only models of non Aus/Kiwi subjects. Models maybe built by Dave Eames or David Whitehead of Automodelli Studio and some will be factory built, others from builders that we consider worth selling. None will be mass-produced die-cast models, many will be one off or very limited runs.

The above kit of parts will build anyone of eight version of the TWR Jaguar XJR #7 #8 #9 from Monza 1984 #8 #9 #10 from Bathurst 1985 and #51 #52 from Wellington 1987 This is the first time these cars have been made in a modern multi-media kit form.

Our next XJS will be the Monza 1983 car #16 (AUT030B) that’s the one with the controversial rear spoiler and next year we will make the John Goss 1986 Bathurst ‘CITIBANK’ car.

Moving on to our next release which will be Jack Brabham’s Cooper Bristol Redex Special this will be another multi version kit too. Three version from 1953,54,55 will be possible from the one kit (AUT032) We expect this to ready around the end of Jan 2010

Renaissance are about to release a kit of the IROC Porsche that ran in the US 1974 The kit will build any of the 14 cars one of which was driven by Denny Hulme.

We now have in our accessory range photo etched window net suitable for IMSA, NASCAR, V8 Supercars At $9.95 per pack this will do several cars. Next in the accessory range will be photo etched steering wheels 5 styles in 7 & 8mm dia.

One of the latest offering from Yowmodellini is the Alfa Romeo BAT11 concept car by Bertone. This comes in kit form at $110 but of course we can build it for you. We can now supply all of the Yowmodellini range.

In our endeavor to bring you models from all 1/43 scale manufacturers we now offer the Faenza43 range of handbuilt Ferrari’s and Maserati’s www.faenza43.com whilst these are not strictly Aus/Kiwi related they are excellent models of previously unmade subject.

Now we need your help to enable us to make the next Aus GP car. We need more images of the 1948 BMW328 of Frank Pratt especially a rear end shot.

And last but not least if there was the possibility of a subscription internet magazine based around 1/43 scale models would you be interested? It is possible that we can persuade Peter Radcliff ex Amazing 43 editor back to the business. We would need contributions to from builders, retailers and manufacturers so your feed back on this would be much appreciated please.
