This Months News

Now in stock from This Way Up models are the Ensign N174’s of Vern Schuppan and Chris Amon pictured below. A quite superb kit, as good as Tameo if not better. Kit price $96.75 or built at $295.00

There seems to be a run on Aus/NZ drivers at the moment not only do we have the Ensign’s but there is a Surtees TS19 and a Hesketh 308B as driven by Alan Jones from Modellismo 90 we will be ordering these as soon as the Italian company return from holiday. Coming soon from Yank Models will be a Lola T332 F5000 as driven by Vern Schuppan and Alan Jones also from Marsh Models a Shadow DN8A driven by Alan Jones. Just released from Tameo the Williams FW06 Alan Jones from USA East GP 1978

While we are on the subject of Tameo we can now offer a better deal on their products. Time was that we had to order a minimum of ten kits, now we can offer you a good price on one off items. So there you are all you F1 collectors lots of Aus/NZ subjects and Tameo/Silverline at a better price, what more do you want. More news from Tameo due to an accident their built models TB008/009 have been destroyed and it will be some time before they can be replaced.

We now have the decals being drafted for the 1984/85 JPS BMW 635CSi after many problems we now have two draftsman that we can call on the do our work. This should reduce the turn round on decals and photo etching. The next Bathurst models will be the Sierra Cosworth RS500 we have a new master for this and will be able to produce several version both LHD & RHD

Next model on the drawing board is the 1961 Armstrong 500 winning Mercedes 220SE this will again be collaboration with French manufacture Jemmpy. There will be a couple of modification needed to their Monte Carlo version but this should be ready by the end of 2007

Apologies to those of you that have been waiting many months for the model/kits there is some concern that several European manufacturers are not responding to e-mails. Yes some are in the middle of their annual vacations but some have not replied to several requests for confirmation on supplies. We can only assume those that do not reply are no longer in business or are no long interested in supplying Automodelli Studio. Two that have failed to reply to several inquiries are CCC and Jade Miniatures. Whilst many manufacturers are cutting production and thinning their ranges, Axel’R is expanding, Roger is now set up to do his own casting and will also be casting for Jemmpy and of course that will be the Automodelli – Jemmpy range too.

In an endeavor to be the number one specialist 1/43 scale model car supplier in the Southern Hemisphere we are able to offer Diorama’s and Figures. If there is something special you are looking for to display your models drop us a e-mail or give us a ring we will be only too happy to discus your requirements.

Here are a few of the 100 or so figures from UK manufacturer Denizen. Price from $7 unpainted.
