We have gone green this month, as we have a very special announcement. Automodelli Studio is proud to be a race sponsor at Historic Sandown 2007. This will be the first carbon neutral race meeting held in Australia, so historic in more ways than one. The carbon emissions generated on and off the track over the weekend of 9th–11th November will be calculated, and a donation from the entry fee given to Greenfleet who will ensure enough trees are planted to offset the weekend activities.

Another first this month, we have a new Studio Built Range. A limited edition of 10 built only Australian Grand Prix winners. The first series will be the winners from 1928 to 1963. To our knowledge none of these have ever been made before. Winner from 1964 to 1969 will be available in the Tasman series which is coming soon. The first six will be available during 2007/08 and can be reserved now.

These are in the planning, test build stage and we have some new, slightly larger display cases to mount them in, as they will come with driver figure and chequered flag man depicting the winner. A photo engraved name plate and numbered certificate of authenticity will be included. Others, like the Talbot Lago, BMW 328, Delahay 135, Cooper T40, will follow. Some will have to be manufactured as they are not available elsewhere. The first two models of each car are reserved, so there are only 8 of each model for general release. Each will be built on a first come basis, to reserve your piece of Aussie GP history we require a $100 deposit to secure you allocation. Price for each built model - $350 plus insured shipping.

New release this month from Jade Miniatures, an Aston Martin DBR1/300 which will make the Moss – Brabham winning car from Nurburgring or the Le Mans entry 1958, and from Marsh Model, built versions of the 1965 7litre GT40 #1 McLaren/Miles & #2 Amon/Hill

Good news for all you restorers and scratch builders, we can now offer a large decal sheet of white roundels to suit most 1/43 scale models and indeed some other scales too. Sizes are 8mm to 14.5mm dia. in 0.5mm increments. There are 6 plain white of each size, plus two with black boarders on the sheet. Price at just $8 a sheet.
