Automodelli
Studio will be closed from Wednesday 19th March & we
will be re-opening Tuesday 22nd April as we will be on a
trip to Europe to meet suppliers, old fiends and family.
There will be no April news letter and we will not be available
by phone or e-mail. Any web inquiries or e-mails sent during
this period will be answered a.s.a.p. on our return. Any
payments can be made via Paymate or bank transfer (net banking)
but please do not send cheques or money orders until
we return as all post will be held at the PO.
If
you are interested in historic motor racing you should
get along to the Phillip Island classic 7th 8th9th March
it really is the best race meeting in the southern hemisphere.
I would rate it along with Goodwood or Laguna Seca. For
2009 it is expected to be a 4 day meeting, maybe we can
arrange a model meet for this weekend too. If anyone is
interested let me know and I will see what we can arrange.
I
have been informed that there will be a couple of month
delay on the VK Commodore due to decal printing problems.
Speaking of decals the artwork for the B&H Sierra
RS500 is at the printers and we have started work on the
Jaguar XJS the decals for these will drafted while we
are away and should go to the printer shortly after we
return. We hope to be able to get the Shell Sierra RS500
done later in the year and this kit will cover all the
cars from 1988 1989 1990 1991 & 1992
Would
there be any interest in us doing the 1977 Bathurst Torana
A9X of Harvey & Negus it would require a few extra
decals and new fuel filler but would sit nicely along
with the Brock Richards cars. Please let me know
if you are interested in this version.
David
has been busy, since his retirement working on the Aussie
Porsche range. The first of which should be ready very
soon. These will be Porsche 956s from Le Mans &
Silverstone 1984 of Peter Brock and Larry Perkins and
will be available as kits or fully built. Next should
be the Porsche 935s of Alan Jones & Rusty French.
Lastly
for this month a couple of new prints from Paul Chenard.
