This Months News

Back in June 2004 when I first set up Automodelli Studio as a part time model building service I never envisaged that within less than 3 years I would be producing my own range of models. The idea of Automodelli Studio was to build kits for others. Then customers asked if we could supply kits to them and it soon grow into custom building one off, and short run models, by modifying other manufacturers' kits. We then set up the website and with the assistance of Axel’R, Racing 43 and Marsh Models we made some Aussie based Historic Racing Cars and started our Classic Road Car range with Cobras. I have a business partner and operate fulltime now as we are manufacturing and exporting kits to Europe. The first ‘made in Australia’ kits went to Grand Prix Models in the UK last month.

We have many other models planned for the future, both in the HRC range and the CRC range, and indeed other ranges too. Aussie’s at Le Mans, Tasman series cars, more Bathurst cars both manufactured by us and as transkits using other manufacturers' kit but with our added parts.

We have also started a Motoring Art section which will promote other new businesses, not only models but prints and other motoring related items. The first in this Exclusive Motoring Art section is some Paul Chenard prints. Paul, a graphic designer from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada is currently setting up a business centred around his Motoring Art and we are pleased to offer the first of what should be many fine art prints. The first series is the three constructor, driver, GP winners. Sir Jack Brabham, Dan Gurney and Bruce McLaren. Available as individual prints or the set of three they are a limited edition of 250. Classic Jaguar Miniature is about to make the Bob Jane Mk2 Jaguar from Katoomba 1964 in handbuilt form and hopefully soon as a kit with options to make other versions, including the one that runs in Historics today. We hope to make some other Aussie Jaguars with the assistance of CJM. (Click on the photo for an enlarged image)

A big thank you to everyone that purchased a Torana A9X kit, we sold the first batch in under week and the second castings are selling fast which is very encouraging for the future releases of the HRC Bathurst series.
