would have thought back in 1976 when I first walked into Grand Prix Models shop
in Radlett, England that almost 30 years later I would be about to start my own
range of models. Definitely not me. But
here we are in 2005 and a new life in Australia and ambitions to produce models
of Historic Australian racing cars, that’s cars that raced in Australia not
necessary those that were built here and maybe we can include New Zealand along
the way with some of the Tasman cars. The
first model will be a Chevron B8 this car has been raced in Australia in various
forms since 1968. I am working on the master for the current version being raced
in the historic series by Max Brunninghausen and particularly as raced at Phillip
Island this year. With
kind assistance from Roger Dutemple (Axel’R)
France as well as Max himself, I hope to have the model ready for release on the
1st Sept 2005, automodelli studio’s first year anniversary. Options
will be: A
ready built model complete with a display case (max 25 only)

pre-painted kit. (both colours) A
kit (simple build and will give room for modellers to super detail to their own

Chevron is unusual and I believe peculiar to Australia it was modified when it
arrived here, as it was found to over heat on the warm up lap, an extraction vent
was cut in the front bonnet and later air intakes (ears) were fitted on the rear
engine cover for the oil cooler which was moved to the back of the car.
