Latest News from automodelli studio

October 2005

This month we have come across a model from European manufacturer Me-Mod of a Holden Monaro 350GTS 1971 as driven by Norm Beechey. You can order these pre-painted kits or fully built models from us now. Price of the pre-painted kit is $100, and the fully built model in the display case is $295 plus postage.

Also this month we have a new section under the Sales Page. It is the Historic Racing Car range based on Aus/NZ vehicles or drivers. Please take a look, there are many interesting subjects, Sports Cars, Open Wheelers, Rally Cars and Saloons in kit, some pre-painted kits or built form.

We are in the process of putting together some Aus/NZ BMWs, these will be

  • the P.Brock - N.Crompton BMW M3 Mobil 1 car from Bathurst 1988.
  • the T.Longhurst - T.Crowe BMW M3 JPS car from Bathurst 1987.
  • The J.Richards - T.Longhurst BMW 635CSi JPS from Bathurst 1984/85/86.

Also we may offer the BMW M3 various drivers from Wellington NZ 1989/90 if sufficient interest is shown

We are currently looking into the possibility of having some decals printed so as the Peter 'Possum' Bourne rally cars can be made in 1/43 scale. I believe they have not been made in this scale before, using either the very good Racing 43 white metal kit or the high detail (with open doors) resin Renaissance version. There will also be a code 3 Trofeudie-cast version carried out by a third party. These will be strictly limited edition and certificated. Let us know if you are interested in these cars, there could be all 9 Subarus as driven by the late Kiwi driver. We will also be making a donation to the Possum Bourne Foundation from the sale of these items

And last, but not least this month, automodelli studio's new assistant Axel a 1 year old dark chocolate brown Labrador/Greyhound cross has just joined the team and has already proved to be a great asset when looking for photo etching that has disappeared across the room.
